Boot Camp

I picked Boot Camp as the book I would like to read. The reason I picked was that I thought it was an interesting book to read and it was. To write a book like this the author would have to know things and rules about boot camps also how the kids going to the boot camp must be treated and also how much it would cost the parents to send them there. By reading this book I could tell the author was trying to tell its readers that not all people that are sent to boot camps are really bad kids it is just not the way the parents want their kids. I could tell the author doesn’t like the idea of kids going to boot camp because they are not how the parents want them to be. I think the author wrote this book to show what really goes on in these boot camps and how the kids are being treated even if they really didn’t do anything bad to begin with: like Pauly one of the kids in boot camp in the book and the only reason he’s in boot camp is because he wasn’t manly enough for he his father so he was sent to boot camp. I really enjoyed reading this book so I would read another book written by Todd Strasser. This book takes place in a boot camp which is surrounded by nothing but forest to make it hard for people to escape.  There wasn’t really to suggest when this book took place book it must have been pretty close to 1990’s because of the cars and speedboat they used. I have never been to a boot camp and would never want to go to one because it sounds like torture and brutal. The best description there was, was in the begin as Garrett just arrived to the camp. The author best sets the atmosphere in the very begin when he talks about the camp and outside the camp.
