The Exorcist

Is the exorcist still scary like it was in 1973? I personally think it isn’t only because of the movie’s quality and graphics. I think if I is was around in 1973 and I saw the movie it would be the scariest movie I have ever seen but being 2010 the movie is really outdated and really fake. The concept of the movie is still a little scary about the little girl being possessed by the devil for having played with the wigi board and then the girl starts to kill people that part is scary. But the parts that aren’t scary are the parts with the fake vomit, the possessed girl walking down the stairs backwards and the floating bed. But the director had good ideas in making of the movie like the customs and where everything took place and the characters. The actors did a very good job but compare to the movies of today like the Orphan the Exorcist is not that scary. I think is the movie had today’s technology the movie would be way better.

This is the scariest part of the whole movie the way she looks and the scars on her face and the way she is looking at the camera.

These were the fakest scenes of the whole movie the vomit, the head turning and the floating girl. These scenes weren’t even scary in fact these scenes were actually pretty funning.

Scary Movies

My favorite kind of movies are scary movies because I just love getting scared and also I like the suspense in scary movies. I like suspence in scary movies because you get that feeling in your stomach that something bad is going to happen and then all of sudden the beat to the song that is playing gets faster and faster. Those are the reasons I like watching scary movies. The first scary movie I every watch was The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The reason I watch it was because there wasn’t anything good on TV so my older brother said  “lets watch a movie”, so he started to look for one in a cabinet we had with all of the movies we had but never watched because our parent told us not to because they were bad movies to watch but my parents weren't home so we could do what ever we wanted. And after looking through all the movies he finally picked out a movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. We had already heard from our parent that the movie was really scary and they told us not to watch it but that made us want to watch it even more so we put the movie into the VCR and press play.  The best part was right before watching the movie when my brother tells me that it’s based on a true story and that already got me a little scared. As I was watching the movie I was just thinking about how this really happen to real people and that got me a little freck out. What especially got me scared was when the bad guy would just pop out of nowhere with his scary demented face and attack or kill someone. But I really enjoyed watching this movie and it became one of my favorite movies because I just love the suspense in the movie. So from then on I started to like scary movie and me and my brother watched every scary movie we had. But my favorite kind of scary movies are the ones based on a true story. Just knowing that it really happen just freaks me out and for some reason the movie becomes more interesting and I have to watch it.
